BOYCOTT CANADIAN SEAFOOD and help end the largest slaughter of marine mammals on earth.

JOIN the boycott to end this barbaric practice!

Why boycott Canadian seafood?

Seal hunting is an off-season activity conducted by fishers from Canada's East Coast. They earn a small fraction of their incomes from sealing—primarily from the sale of seal pelts to European fashion markets. But the vast majority of the sealers' incomes are from commercial fisheries. Canadian seafood exports to the United States contribute $2.4 billion annually to the Canadian economy—dwarfing the few million dollars provided by the seal hunt. The connection between the commercial fishing industry and the seal hunt in Canada gives consumers all over the world the power to end this cruel and brutal slaughter..... (more)

A Presentation At Bush School by AFF

Animals First Foundation would like to thank the students and faculty at Bush School for inviting us to their workshop to present information regarding animal rescue, animal care and awareness.  Their sincere interest and concern gives us hope that the future generation will have a positive influence in the treatment and outlook of animals.  Their honest and genuine response to some of the unpleasant duties of rescue work is worthy of acknowledgment.  We hope we have inspired them to become future supporters of all animals as they move forward with their lives.  To help with our presentation we brought Pearl and Lilly, two special needs AFF rescues.  Pearl had Entropion (eyelid folds inward and lashes rub against the eyeball).  She and her siblings were left in a crate, were emaciated and had to learn how to walk at about 3 months old.  AFF had the proper procedure done and Pearl is now playful, gaining weight, running and preparing to find a new home.  Lilly came to AFF as a tri-pod and still has confidence issues especially with men.  She had been a stray but presently spends her time playing, sleeping and helping AFF educate the public about animal welfare.  We hope that the future brings about more animal caretakers and lovers so cases like Lilly and Pearl will be rare occurrences.  Comments from some of the Bush students in our "News" section ......
