Charming Grommet Begins a New Chapter

Grommet is a wonderful addition to our family.  He plays hard and sleeps hard.

The pit bull biased reactions we were expecting, and get from people, are washed away as soon as they see how much he just wants to love anyone or any dog he meets.

He is a great dog and we are looking forward to a lifelong relationship learning and growing together.

He made his way into our hearts in a way that we could never imagine the very first day we took Grommet home. We knew that adopting Grommet would be a daily challenge due to the bias that bully breeds receive from the general public. We have received many looks, stares, and even shouts, but Grommet's teddy-bear demeanor has shown people that bullies can and do defy the rule.

Everyday, he makes us proud by the way he breaks free of the pit bull stereotype; by how brilliant and loving he is. He is a dog-lover just as much as we are. His two best friends are a small Shih Tzu and an Australian Terrier with whom he gently plays. At the same time, he loves to wrestle with his bully-mix buddy.

Also, the way Grommet is so endearing pulls at our heart strings. One of our favorites is when he sleeps on our bed and he curls up in the bend of one of our knees. Grommet has been such a great dog. We couldn't imagine having a better one.
