Just the Hound for Us

Kirk and I could not be happier with our new puppy, Asa. He is the most loving, inquisitive puppy in the world! He fits our life better than we could have ever expected.

When we recently moved to Seattle, we knew we were ready to adopt a dog, but we were not sure where to go to look for the right dog. However, once we found Animals First Foundation, we knew we were in great hands. AFF took the time to find out about us (lifestyle, etc.) and they were able to find just the right dog for us.

Asa has been a constant source of joy. We love taking him camping (he even carries his own puppy-pack), going to dog parks, and just walking through our new neighborhood. We never saw ourselves with a redbone coonhound, but it turns out that it is the best breed ever - I'm biased, I know.  :-)

It's hard to believe that he was in a shelter in Georgia and facing possible euthanization. Luckily, Animals First Foundation was able to save him and help him find his way to our home.
